Why Am I Selling?

Turns out, a lot can change in nearly three years since first going to contract on this boat. Long story short, we now have the opportunity to move up to a much larger yacht with a full-time crew—and yes, it has an enclosed flybridge. It’s a unique arrangement: we’ll be co-owning an 85' yacht with another couple, with each of us enjoying six-month intervals of use each year.

This shared-ownership concept is something we’d been exploring even before purchasing the Maritimo, but at the time, we couldn’t find the right partners to make it work. Now that we’ve connected with another couple—both of us agreeing that the concept works best with a fully crewed yacht—the opportunity is simply too ideal to pass up. Otherwise, I’d be happily keeping and enjoying this M55 for many years to come.

Why We Love This Boat

There are a lot of reasons to love this incredibly well-built boat but our two main favorites are the lazzarette (storage) and the enclosed flybridge.

The more generous lazzarette is one of the upgrades you get on the Black Edition. Big enough for everything - bikes, tenders, water toys, tools, etc. Big improvement over the much smaller lazzarette on the previous version.
